This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. Hampton County Warrant Records is privately operated. It cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice. For an official answer, contact the court or agency responsible for the specific record.
Contact the Office Named on the Case
Choose the office that issued or maintains the record. A countywide active-warrant roster is not published, and no single contact can confirm every municipal and court file.
- General Sessions criminal warrant file: Hampton County Clerk of Court, (803) 914-2251; general courthouse line (803) 914-2250. The courthouse is at 1 Courthouse Square / 80 Elm Street in Hampton. Counter hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Copies are listed at 50 cents per page; certification is $1 per document plus copies. See the General Sessions information and Clerk's public page.
- Sheriff or detention question: Hampton County Sheriff's Office, 411 Cemetery Road, Varnville, (803) 914-2200. For after-hours/non-emergency routing call (803) 943-9261; detention is listed at (803) 914-2222 around the clock. These lines do not constitute a public warrant roster. The Sheriff's contact page lists current agency channels.
- Sheriff public-record request: submit through the official FOIA form. The agency lists research at $22 per hour, a possible 25% deposit, and copy charges. A request is for records the agency may release, not an immediate status check.
- Magistrate case: Hampton County Magistrate Court, (803) 914-2230. Ask which Varnville or Estill court location holds the specific matter; a magistrate case is not the same as a town municipal citation.
- Town-court citation: contact the city court printed on the ticket. Estill Municipal Court is (803) 625-3243 ext. 224; Hampton Municipal Court is (803) 943-9364; Varnville Municipal Court is (803) 943-2979; Yemassee Municipal Court is (843) 589-2565 ext. 1. Each court handles its own schedule and payment eligibility.
- Immediate danger or emergency: call 911. For non-emergency help, use the Sheriff's listed after-hours line and describe the current situation.
